High-Purity Quartz Glass Tubing: Exceptional Heat Resistance and Versatility
Our quartz glass tubing, crafted from pure silica, offers exceptional purity, clarity, and remarkable heat resistance up to 1200°C. We provide a wide range of sizes, with outside diameters ranging from 2mm to 800mm and rods available from 2mm to 45mm. In addition to standard forms, our comprehensive processing capabilities allow us to customize tubes into various shapes and configurations. For more information, please visit our Quartz Glass page [HERE].
Quartz glass tubes possess numerous properties that make them invaluable in diverse industrial applications. They are commonly used in the preparation of envelopes for high-temperature light sources, including xenon, ultraviolet, and halogen lamps. The exceptional heat resistance of quartz glass, reaching up to 1200°C, far surpasses that of borosilicate (300°C), making it an ideal choice for demanding applications.
Quartz rods are available from 2mm - 45mm Diameter
In the semiconductor industry and power applications, quartz glass rods are widely used for their excellent high-voltage insulation properties.
We offer three grades of quartz glass - JGS1, JGS2, and JGS3 - each with its own unique characteristics and transmission properties.
(UV optical quartz glass) JGS1
It is an optical quartz glass made from artificial stone with SiCl4 as raw material and melted by high-purity hydrogen-oxygen flame. Therefore, it contains a large amount of hydroxyl groups (about 2000 ppm) and has excellent UV transmission properties. Especially in the short-wave UV region, its transmission properties are far superior to all other types of glass. The UV transmittance at 185nm can reach 90% or higher. Synthetic quartz glass has a strong absorption peak at 2730 nm and has no grain structure. It is an excellent optical material in the range of 185-2500nm.
(UV optical quartz glass) JGS2
It is quartz glass refined by gas with crystal as raw material and contains dozens of PPM metal impurities. There is an absorption peak at 100nm (the hydroxyl content is 200-2730ppm), and it has a stripe and granular structure. It is an excellent material in the 220-2500 nm band range. We use this glass for the preparation of sight glasses, panels, and pressed items.
(Infrared optical quartz glass) JGS3
It is a quartz glass produced from crystal or high-purity quartz sand through a vacuum pressure furnace (ie, electric melting method), which contains dozens of PPM metal impurities. It has small air bubbles, grain structure and stripes, almost no OH, and high infrared transmittance. The light transmittance exceeds 85%. Its application range is 260-3500 nm optical materials.
